“How’d you guys get out of your house without anyone seeing?” Randy’s voice was small in the murky air, but cheerful.
Jayson scoffed. “Mom is never around. It’d take her a month to notice if we never came home.”
Ru knew very well that their mother looked in on them first thing when she came home late from work. It occurred to her, though, that there was no look-in the night before. If Ms. Hadley had come home before they did, she’d have noticed they were missing.
“What about you?” Randy poked Colleen, who jumped and squealed.
“I saw them lock the front gate. I saw them. But it was open when I touched it. No one asked where I was last night, no one saw me leave. Ru, no one even noticed I wasn’t on the bus. If one of the others knew I walked home, they would have told the house mothers for sure.”
A flicker, off to the southwest. Ru’s eyes darted that way but took in nothing but dark fog. Her heart jumped to life.
Chapter 14 has been posted. I wanted to put this up a couple weeks ago, but I felt like chapters 14 and 15 were too short, so I put them together.
The animation is going pretty well. I’m at :55 out of 1:20 for the opening, so I’m over halfway done! Working on one of the more complicated scenes tonight.
I suspect most people that visit this site got to see the preview, but for those who didn’t, here’s a part of what I’ve been up to the past few months —
After I quit my last animation, I made a promise to myself. Until I was dedicated enough to make a full opening to a potential animated series, I couldn’t start the series itself. Well — this one is coming along very nicely and I’m pretty sure I’ll have it done by March, if not before then =)
In the meantime, Chapter 14 is slowly coming along. Very slowly.
While the project is in progress, I thought I’d put up the next chapter of Legend in the Sky. If you’ve read up to this point in the old comic you might be surprised — things take a slightly different turn here.
Want a sneak preview of the new project? Check out the new Previews section! All you have to do is answer a trivia question. The password is the answer —
What street does Ru live on?
Hints
-The answer is in Chapter 1 of the prose version
-The password is exactly as the name is written, spaces and caps alike (ex “Galaxy Street”)
Just wanted to check in and say this story is nowhere near dead. I’m working on a 20G project that will take a while (I’m guessing a few months) but I think it’ll be worth the wait =) I’ll post bits and pieces of it when I make more progress.
