Without understanding, Ru touched the bracelet, and gasped as symbols appeared in the air above it.

“This is a copy of a collection of Accilean legends and prophecies, written before the system came into being,” the Star explained. “Learning the Accilean language will help you master your abilities, and we hope, in turn, you may help us better understand its contents.”

Ru poked the symbols. The symbols scrolled sideways with her finger, rows disappearing on the right and more appearing on the left. “Is there a dictionary on here?”

“It is different from Earth’s languages. Anyone can understand it when it is spoken, but to read, write, or speak it is another matter.”
